The Central Remedial Clinic, Ireland’s leading provider of specialist disability services, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for our Children’s Disability Network Team in Dublin North. Role Overview

As an Occupational Therapist with our CDNT, you’ll provide specialist intervention to children aged 0-18 years with complex developmental needs requiring interdisciplinary support. You’ll work within our evidence-based Family Centered Practice Model, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive, child-focused care that promotes independence and participation in daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate children’s occupational therapy needs using standardized assessments and clinical observation
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with children, families, and the interdisciplinary team
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve functional skills, sensory processing, and participation in daily activities
  • Collaborate closely with Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, and Psychology team members
  • Provide family education and training to support therapeutic goals in home and community settings
  • Maintain comprehensive clinical records in compliance with professional and organizational standards
  • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated care delivery

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
  • Registration: Current registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience, with paediatric experience highly desirable
  • Skills: Strong assessment, intervention, and clinical reasoning skills in paediatric occupational therapy
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with children, families, and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialist Training: Additional qualifications in paediatric areas such as sensory integration, feeding therapy, or developmental approaches
  • CDNT Experience: Previous experience working within Children’s Disability Network Teams or similar interdisciplinary settings
  • Assessment Tools: Familiarity with standardized paediatric OT assessments (COPM, PEDI-CAT, Sensory Profile)
  • Technology Skills: Experience with electronic health records and assistive technology solutions
