As a Store Assistant at ALDI Donegal Town, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting all aspects of store operations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service, assisting customers with queries and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Operate checkout systems efficiently and accurately, handling cash and card transactions
- Maintain store presentation standards through effective merchandising and stock replenishment
- Receive and process deliveries, ensuring products are stored safely and rotated correctly
- Support inventory management and stock control procedures to minimize waste
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the store
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily sales targets and operational goals
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent educational qualification
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not essential
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional manner
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
- Physical capability to lift and move stock as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in grocery retail or supermarket operations
- Cash handling and point-of-sale system experience
- Teamwork skills with ability to support colleagues during busy periods
