About the Role
The Senior Radiographer will play a key role in providing high-standard radiographic imaging within the Primary Care Radiology Department. The role involves a balance of clinical expertise, leadership, and patient-focused care to support diagnostic and treatment pathways in the Bray area.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures to HSE standards.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety and quality assurance protocols.
- Supervise and support junior radiography staff and students.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to support patient diagnosis and care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and participate in audit and service improvement initiatives.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment in line with manufacturer and HSE guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- CORU registration as a Radiographer.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in diagnostic imaging.
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety, PACS/RIS, and quality control systems.
Preferred
- Experience in Primary Care, General Radiography, or Community Diagnostic Hubs.
- Postgraduate qualification or CPD in advanced imaging or management.
- Previous experience mentoring students or junior staff.
