About the Role

The Senior Radiographer will play a key role in providing high-standard radiographic imaging within the Primary Care Radiology Department. The role involves a balance of clinical expertise, leadership, and patient-focused care to support diagnostic and treatment pathways in the Bray area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures to HSE standards.
  • Ensure adherence to radiation safety and quality assurance protocols.
  • Supervise and support junior radiography staff and students.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to support patient diagnosis and care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and participate in audit and service improvement initiatives.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment in line with manufacturer and HSE guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Required Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
  • CORU registration as a Radiographer.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in diagnostic imaging.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety, PACS/RIS, and quality control systems.

Preferred

  • Experience in Primary Care, General Radiography, or Community Diagnostic Hubs.
  • Postgraduate qualification or CPD in advanced imaging or management.
  • Previous experience mentoring students or junior staff.

  • Salary: €63,513 – €74,432 per annum (based on August 2025 HSE consolidated salary scales for Radiographer, Senior – Grade Code 3107).
