The HSE Dublin North East is seeking a qualified Family Therapist to join the Louth and Meath Mental Health Services (FTLMMHS) team. This is a permanent, whole-time position open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality mental health care in the community.
About the Role
As a Family Therapist within the Mental Health Services, you will deliver specialist systemic therapy to individuals, couples, and families. You will play a central role in promoting psychological wellbeing, resilience, and recovery through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional family therapy services within multidisciplinary mental health teams.
- Conduct assessments and formulate treatment plans in line with best practice.
- Deliver systemic interventions for families and individuals affected by mental health issues.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff to ensure integrated care.
- Contribute to service development and evaluation activities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in accordance with HSE standards.
- Participate in supervision, training, and continuous professional development.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Relevant Family Therapy qualification recognized by the HSE.
- Professional registration (or eligibility for registration) with the appropriate regulatory body.
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in providing Family Therapy Services.
- Access to appropriate transport to meet the requirements of the role.
Preferred
- Experience working within public Mental Health Services.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care approaches.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
