Join the Health Service Executive (HSE) Dublin and South East as a Clinical Nurse Manager II (Intellectual Disabilities). This permanent, wholetime post offers an opportunity to lead and deliver person-centred care within community and residential intellectual disability services.

About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Manager II, you’ll oversee care delivery across community-based and residential settings, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the highest clinical standards for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage nursing teams to deliver safe, high-quality care.
  • Oversee clinical operations in community and residential units.
  • Implement person-centred care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Monitor and manage resources, including staffing and budgets.
  • Promote a positive work environment and support staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and professional standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and service development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse (Intellectual Disability) with the NMBI.
  • Significant experience providing services to adults in community/residential settings.
  • Demonstrated experience managing resources and staff.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in areas involving behaviours of concern.

Preferred

  • Postgraduate qualification in management or leadership.
  • Experience in quality improvement and clinical governance.

  • Salary: €61,463–€77,666 per annum (as per August 2025 HSE Consolidated Pay Scales, Grade Code 2119).
