Join Smyths Toys, one of the UK and Ireland’s largest retailers of children’s toys, outdoor, and baby products. We’re hiring Sales Assistants in Sligo, County Sligo, to help deliver exceptional service and keep our stores running smoothly during busy periods.
About the Role
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll be part of a dynamic retail team focused on providing a great customer experience. You’ll assist shoppers, manage stock, and maintain merchandising standards across departments such as Outdoor/Bikes, Nursery, Software & Gaming, and Warehouse.
This is a temporary contract with a rate of pay of €13.75 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service in all interactions.
- Identify and respond to customers’ needs and queries.
- Work as part of a fast-paced, supportive retail team.
- Keep shelves stocked, clean, and well-presented.
- Complete deliveries, price changes, and merchandising tasks.
- Operate tills and manage transactions accurately.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of store products and promotions.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A customer-first attitude and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends.
Preferred
- Retail experience in any of the following: Outdoor/Bikes, Nursery, Software & Gaming, or Warehouse operations.
