About the Role
The Day Support Facilitator (Grade 6425 – Workshop Supervisor / Instructor) supports individuals attending day services to develop life, social, and vocational skills that promote independence, wellbeing, and participation in community life.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate person-centred day supports aligned with individual plans.
- Promote inclusion, equality, and self-advocacy within community settings.
- Support personal development, social engagement, and daily living activities.
- Maintain records, progress notes, and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary colleagues, families, and advocates.
- Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within service teams.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- QQI Level 6 qualification (or higher) in Social Care, Education, Health or Community Services, or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
- Full clean driving licence and access to own transport.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
- Training in Positive Behaviour Support, Safeguarding, or Person-Centred Planning.
- Experience working in community-based or day support settings.
What We Offer
- Salary: in line with HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (1 Aug 2025) for Workshop Supervisor / Instructor 6425 — from €34,804 to €52,311 per annum (13 points, incl. LSIs) .
