About the Role
The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland – Southern Region is seeking a Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team 1 North Kerry, based in Listowel, Co. Kerry, with outreach to families in Castleisland. This is an excellent opportunity to support children and families through high-quality, family-centred interventions in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to children with complex needs.
- Collaborate closely with team members across disciplines within the Children’s Disability Network.
- Develop individualised therapy plans and support communication strategies for home and school settings.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
- Participate in team meetings, service planning, and professional development activities.
- Support parents and caregivers with training, advice, and communication-focused education.
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the service.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Hold a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy approved by CORU.
- Registered (or eligible for registration) with the Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Full clean driver’s licence and access to transport for outreach visits.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred
- Experience working in children’s disability or early intervention services.
- Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems and family-centred practice models.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children and families.

- Salary Scale (effective 1 August 2025): €42,922 – €69,137 per annum (based on HSE Consolidated Pay Scales, Grade 336Y)
