Fastway Couriers is experiencing strong seasonal growth and is now seeking Courier Van Drivers on fixed-term contracts to support deliveries in the Sligo area during the busy Christmas period. About the Role
As a Courier Van Driver (Fixed Term), you will ensure timely, safe, and accurate deliveries across Collooney and the wider Sligo region. You’ll represent the Fastway brand with professionalism and maintain high standards of service during peak operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver parcels promptly and accurately within assigned routes.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Maintain delivery records and update route information.
- Communicate with depot and customers effectively.
- Ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and road traffic regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Full Irish driving licence (B).
- Aged 25 or older (insurance requirement).
- Strong English communication skills.
- Good computer literacy (Excel, Word, Reporting).
- Proven time management and reliability.
- Previous delivery driving experience.
- Excellent local area knowledge (Sligo and surroundings).
- Strong safety awareness.
Preferred
- Prior experience in courier, logistics, or transport sectors.
- Customer-facing experience.
