The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) within the Cavan Monaghan Mental Health Services. This is a permanent, whole-time opportunity for experienced nurses ready to take on a leadership role in mental health care delivery across Cavan and Monaghan.
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Mental Health), you will support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and ensure effective clinical management within the multidisciplinary team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing transformation of community and acute mental health services within the HSE Dublin and North East Health Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and support nursing teams in assigned mental health units or community settings.
- Promote recovery-focused, evidence-based practice and patient safety standards.
- Manage day-to-day clinical operations, including resource and staff deployment.
- Contribute to policy development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to professional codes, HSE guidelines, and mental health legislation.
- Support staff education, supervision, and performance development.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary professionals to enhance service continuity.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with An Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (NMBI).
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including experience in a supervisory or team leader capacity.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate nursing teams in a clinical environment.
Preferred
- Postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing, management, or leadership.
- Experience in community and/or acute mental health services.
- Familiarity with HSE operational standards and electronic health systems.
