Role Overview
JC Engineering is seeking a Digital Systems Manager to lead the creation and implementation of a custom digital workflow system. This fixed-term position (12 months) is ideal for a technically skilled and analytical professional passionate about improving business efficiency. The role combines system design, process analysis, and staff engagement, ensuring the new digital system supports every aspect of the company’s operations.
The successful candidate will be the driving force behind digital transformation, collaborating closely with both office and workshop teams and working in partnership with North West Regional College under the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a bespoke digital system for quotations, job tracking, materials management, and timesheets.
- Analyse existing workflows with staff input to ensure accurate system design.
- Test, deploy, and maintain the system to integrate seamlessly with day-to-day operations.
- Train and support staff to adopt new digital tools with minimal disruption.
- Report on progress and outcomes to internal stakeholders and programme partners.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Minimum 2:2 Degree (Level 7 NFQ) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Experience in business process automation, workflow management, and database design.
- Demonstrated success in developing or implementing digital business management systems in operational or manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Legal entitlement to work in Ireland/EU. Applicants requiring a visa or permit must provide documentation.
Desirable:
- Experience with custom workflow or ERP systems in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of stock control, quoting, and timesheet software.
- Familiarity with compliance processes (e.g., CE marking).
- At least one year of experience implementing digital workflow solutions in SMEs.

- Salary: €35,000 – €40,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)
