The HSE West and North West is inviting applications for a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Mental Health) (Grade Code: 2658) to join the Department of Psychiatry, Roscommon University Hospital, serving the Galway–Roscommon Mental Health Service. This is a permanent, whole-time post offering leadership in adult mental health nursing within a multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate nursing teams within the adult mental health service.
- Ensure safe, evidence-based, and person-centred care delivery.
- Manage clinical governance, resource allocation, and staff supervision.
- Support professional development and mentorship for nursing colleagues.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives across the service.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with An Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (NMBI).
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in mental health nursing.
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in Adult Mental Health Nursing.
- Proven ability to manage teams, implement policy, and drive service improvement.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Grade: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Mental Health) – Code 2658.
- Salary Scale (as of 1 August 2025): €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (including LSIs).
- Contract Type: Permanent, Whole-time.
- Public sector pension and leave entitlements per HSE policy.
