The HSE Mid West is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to join the Acute Surgical Assessment Unit at University Hospital Limerick. This permanent, whole-time position offers an opportunity to lead, manage, and support nursing teams in a fast-paced acute surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate nursing staff in the Acute Surgical Assessment Unit.
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Manage daily clinical operations and allocate resources effectively.
- Support professional development and performance management of nursing staff.
- Implement and monitor compliance with HSE clinical governance standards.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration on the NMBI register.
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including at least 2 in a relevant acute setting.
- Proven leadership and management experience within nursing.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and patient safety.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Grade: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Code 2119).
- Salary Scale (effective 1 August 2025): €61,463–€77,666 per annum (per HSE consolidated salary scales).
- Contract Type: Permanent, Wholetime.
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (typical).
- Public sector pension and leave entitlements apply.
