The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking a Staff Nurse (Disability Services) to join its Athenry-based team in Co. Galway. This permanent full-time position (75 hours per fortnight) offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities within a compassionate and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred nursing care in line with organisational and HSE standards.
- Support service users in achieving health and wellbeing goals.
- Administer medication and manage clinical documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety policies.
- Participate in training and professional development initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification (NMBI registration required).
- Experience working in disability or community services desirable.
- Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Knowledge of HSE policies and HIQA standards is an advantage.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Grade: Staff Nurse – General (Code 2135)
- Pay Scale: HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025) — €37,129 to €54,403 per annum.
- Contract: Permanent Wholetime (75 hours per fortnight)
