The Muiríosa Foundation is seeking dynamic Residential Leaders to join its Intellectual Disability Services in Laois. This part-time, specified-purpose role offers a unique opportunity to support individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage residential teams providing high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, empowerment, and community participation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including staffing, reporting, and resource management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individual support plans.
  • Foster professional development among care staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Social Care or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a social care or disability services setting.
  • Proven leadership and team-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to person-centred approaches and positive risk-taking.
  • Full clean driving licence desirable.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

  • Grade: Social Care Manager 1 (Code 3371)
  • Pay Scale: As per HSE consolidated salary scales (effective 1 August 2025).
  • Contract Type: Specified Purpose, Part-Time
  • Benefits: Public sector pension, structured training, supportive working environment.
  • Work Schedule: Flexible rostered hours including evenings/weekends as required.
