HSE South West is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) for the Medical Department at Bantry General Hospital, County Cork. This permanent, whole-time role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to oversee clinical standards, staff management, and patient care in a busy hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical and operational leadership to nursing teams in the medical ward.
• Ensure safe, effective, and person-centred nursing care delivery.
• Support and mentor nursing staff, ensuring continuous professional development.
• Manage staffing levels, rosters, and performance in line with HSE policies.
• Implement infection prevention, health, and safety procedures.
• Contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
As per HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 August 2025 (Grade Code 2127 – Clinical Nurse Manager 1):
€56,642 – €66,705 per annum (8 incremental points).
Permanent wholetime contract.
