The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland are seeking dedicated Social Care Workers to join their Disability Services team in Galway City. These permanent whole-time and part-time roles offer the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities within a supportive and values-driven organisation. This post is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide person-centred care and support for individuals with disabilities.
• Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans.
• Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion within community and residential settings.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and family members.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to HIQA and organisational standards.
• Support service users in achieving personal goals and enhancing quality of life.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Recognised qualification in Social Care (Level 7 or equivalent).
• Experience working in disability or social care services.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Commitment to person-centred and rights-based approaches.
• Garda Vetting will be required prior to appointment.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Social Care Worker (Grade Code 3029).
• Salary Scale (effective from 1 August 2025): €36,422 – €52,923 per annum (as per Department of Health Consolidated Pay Scales).
• Employment Type: Permanent Whole-time (2 posts) and Permanent Part-time (1 post).
• Access to public sector pension scheme and other benefits in line with Section 38 organisation terms.
• Hours: 39 hours per week (whole-time equivalent).
