The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking applications for the role of Staff Nurse General (Community) within the CARE Virtual Ward in Donegal. This permanent, wholetime position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver patient-centered care in the community as part of an integrated team serving HSE West and North West.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide general nursing care to patients within the community setting as part of the CARE Virtual Ward model.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care that supports chronic disease management and early discharge initiatives.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across acute and community services.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
• Support patients and families in managing conditions at home, promoting independence and recovery.
• Participate in quality improvement and service development initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with An Bord Altranais (NMBI) or eligible for registration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in community nursing or chronic disease management desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Full, clean driving licence required.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025): Staff Nurse (Community) €38,592–€56,201 per annum, plus allowances as applicable.
• Permanent, wholetime post with standard public sector pension and leave entitlements.
