The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting a Senior Dietitian for the Metabolic Service at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. This permanent wholetime role supports bariatric and endocrinology teams in delivering evidence-based nutritional care pathways for patients living with obesity and diabetes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dietitian seeking a senior post within a dynamic multidisciplinary service in Dublin North.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist metabolic, bariatric and endocrinology dietetic interventions.
• Develop and implement evidence-based nutritional care pathways.
• Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and management of complex nutritional needs.
• Work collaboratively with bariatric, endocrinology, nursing, medical and allied health colleagues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, service development and audit activities.
• Educate patients, families and staff on nutrition management strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to data collection and service evaluation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• CORU registration as a Dietitian.
• A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience, including relevant clinical experience at senior level.
• Experience in metabolic, obesity, bariatric and/or endocrinology dietetics is desirable.
• Strong clinical decision-making and caseload management skills.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working ability.
• Commitment to patient-centred care and evidence-based practice.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Senior Dietitian (3395).
• Contract: Permanent wholetime.
• Salary: HSE consolidated pay scales apply.
• Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (subject to service needs).
