The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a Grade VIII Human Resources Manager to join the team at University Hospital Limerick. This permanent, whole-time role offers a significant opportunity to lead HR services within one of the busiest hospitals in the Mid West region. The position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and plays a key role in supporting workforce operations and organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage HR operations across University Hospital Limerick.
• Provide strategic HR guidance to senior managers and clinical leaders.
• Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, and performance processes.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, public sector employment legislation, and national HR frameworks.
• Support change management initiatives and organisational development programmes.
• Manage HR reporting, data analysis, and governance requirements.
• Contribute to the implementation of best-practice HR systems and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant third-level qualification in HR, business, management, or a related field.
• Significant experience in HR management within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and public sector HR policy.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience working in a healthcare, public sector, or unionised environment is an advantage.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade VIII salary scale (from 1 August 2025): €82,258 – €99,213 per annum.
