The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) with a focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This permanent wholetime post offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality mental health care for young people across Donegal.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver evidence-based CBT interventions within CAMHS
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team
• Provide specialist nursing input, assessment, and care planning
• Support families and young people through recovery-focused approaches
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement
• Engage in clinical supervision, training, and continuous professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Registered General Nurse with relevant mental health experience
• Eligibility for the CNS Candidate grade (Mental Health)
• Experience working in CAMHS or child/adolescent mental health settings desirable
• Strong communication, assessment, and therapeutic skills
• Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice, especially CBT approaches
