Killarney Community Hospital, part of Older Persons Services within HSE South West, is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (Night) to support and lead high-quality care delivery for residents. This permanent wholetime/part-time opportunity offers a senior nursing leadership role within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight during night shifts across Older Persons Services
• Ensure safe, effective, person-centred care in line with HSE policies and professional standards
• Coordinate staffing levels, manage rosters and support nursing teams
• Monitor clinical risk, incident reporting and escalation procedures
• Contribute to service improvement, quality initiatives and regulatory compliance
• Lead, mentor and develop nursing staff, promoting ongoing professional development
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in audits
• Liaise with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure continuity of care
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI
• Minimum required post-registration experience for CNM3 grade
• Strong leadership, decision-making and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and team-management ability
• Experience working in Older Persons Services is desirable
• Knowledge of HSE policies, HIQA standards and clinical governance frameworks
• Ability to manage complex clinical situations during night-time hours
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: Clinical Nurse Manager 3 – Night (Grade 2046) as per Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 August 2025
• Employment Type: Permanent wholetime and specified purpose part-time positions available
• Working Pattern: Night duty
