The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner Candidate in Breast services to join the team at Cork University Hospital. This permanent wholetime role offers the opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills within a leading acute hospital setting. This post is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants under a supplementary recruitment campaign.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred breast care in line with national clinical guidelines
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialist nursing care for patients attending breast services
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team across oncology, surgery, radiology and outpatient services
• Contribute to service improvement, clinical audit, research and quality initiatives within breast care
• Develop and apply advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills
• Support education, health promotion and information provision for patients and families
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with HSE standards and policies
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with NMBI
• Eligible for or currently holding registration at Advanced Practice Candidate level
• Minimum required post-registration nursing experience as per HSE ANP Candidate standards
• Demonstrated clinical experience in breast care, oncology, surgery or a related specialty
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
• Commitment to high standards of patient safety and quality improvement

• HSE salary scale ANP Candidate (General), €70,725–€79,872 per annum
