The Health Service Executive is seeking a skilled Maintenance Craftsman/Technician to support community healthcare facilities across Sligo and Leitrim. This role offers excellent stability, diverse work environments, and the opportunity to contribute directly to high-quality patient services. One whole-time vacancy is currently available, with a panel to be formed for future roles.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across HSE facilities
• Support safe, efficient operation of buildings, equipment, and services
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and infrastructural issues
• Work effectively within a multidisciplinary Estates/Maintenance team
• Maintain records, comply with safety legislation, and follow HSE protocols
• Provide on-site support across Sligo/Leitrim locations as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in a healthcare or industrial/controlled environment
• Current Safe Pass certification
• Full clean Category B driving licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering/maintenance team
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities
• Flexibility to support multiple sites across the region
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Grade: Maintenance Craftsman/Technician (5606)
Salary is based on the HSE Consolidated Pay Scales effective August 2025 .
