Galway Roscommon Mental Health Services are recruiting a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Dual Diagnosis, Addictions) based at Boyle Day Centre, Roscommon. This permanent, whole-time role offers an opportunity to lead specialist dual diagnosis care across the HSE West and North West region.
The successful candidate will support service users with co-existing mental health and addiction needs in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist nursing assessment and interventions for individuals presenting with dual diagnosis
• Provide clinical expertise, consultation, and support to multidisciplinary colleagues
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans aligned with best practice in addiction and mental health treatment
• Support continuity of care across community and acute pathways
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical audit
• Deliver education, training, and guidance to staff, service users, and families
• Engage in clinical supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and care records
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Depth and breadth of Mental Health Nursing experience relevant to dual diagnosis and addiction services
• Demonstrated experience supporting service users with complex co-morbid mental health and addiction presentations
• Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Must have undertaken, or agree to undertake, the Nurse Prescribing of Medicinal Products Certificate within an agreed timeframe

Salary Scale (1 August 2025):
€61,463 – €62,481 – €63,342 – €64,747 – €66,300 – €67,826 – €69,351 – €71,068 – €72,662 – €75,405 – €77,666 LSI
