The Health Service Executive is recruiting a Staff Grade Radiographer to join the diagnostic imaging services at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, and Louth County Hospital, Dundalk. This permanent, whole-time post offers the opportunity to work across two busy acute settings, supporting high-quality patient care within HSE Dublin & North East.
A panel will be formed to fill current and future permanent or specified-purpose vacancies, full-time or part-time.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality radiographic imaging across general X-ray and assigned modalities
• Ensure patient safety, dignity, and comfort during all imaging procedures
• Operate imaging equipment in line with HSE standards and radiation safety legislation
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in audit and quality-improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support timely diagnosis and clinical pathways
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and rostered duties as required
• Contribute to student supervision, induction, and professional development activities within the department
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Recognised qualification in Diagnostic Radiography
• Registration or eligibility for registration with CORU as a Radiographer
• Knowledge of radiation safety, quality assurance, and clinical governance
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage a varied clinical workload across two hospital sites
• Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• HSE Staff Grade Radiographer (Grade 3093) – salary in accordance with the latest HSE pay scales
• Annual Radiographer/Radiation Therapist Allowance also applies (per HSE Circular 13/2024)
• Permanent, whole-time contract (37 hours per week)
