Sligo University Hospital is seeking Domestic Attendants (Oibrí Tí) to join its Support Services team under a supplementary recruitment campaign (Reference: SLIGO0646). This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection prevention across the acute hospital setting. Multiple contract types are available, including permanent and specified-purpose positions.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across wards, clinics, and public areas
• Carry out routine and deep-cleaning tasks following hospital protocols
• Support infection prevention measures to protect patients, staff, and visitors
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and materials
• Dispose of waste in accordance with HSE procedures
• Work effectively as part of the wider Household/Support Services team
• Follow all Health & Safety and Infection Control guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in a healthcare, hotel, or facilities cleaning role is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced healthcare environment
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including weekends if required
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary (Domestic Attendant – Support Services Grade, Code 6415):
• €34,582 – €40,783 per annum (effective 1 August 2025)
