Brothers of Charity Services Ireland – Southern Region is seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker (Senior Medical, Grade 3019) to join its Adult Social Work Services in Lota, Glanmire, Co. Cork. This is a permanent, whole-time position (35 hours per week) supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex needs. The role offers meaningful clinical leadership within a highly respected Section 38 organisation.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality social work interventions for adults with intellectual disabilities
• Manage complex caseloads and provide advanced assessments and care planning
• Lead and support multidisciplinary care approaches across the Southern Region
• Act as a senior clinical resource for families, carers and professional colleagues
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, safeguarding and best-practice frameworks
• Contribute to service development, audits, quality initiatives and policy updates
• Provide professional supervision to Social Workers and Social Care teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Recognised qualification in Social Work and registration with CORU
• Significant post-qualification experience in social work, ideally in disability or medical settings
• Strong understanding of adult safeguarding and relevant legislation
• Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage complex caseloads in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment
• Commitment to person-centred and rights-based service delivery
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Grade: Senior Social Worker – Senior Medical (3019)
Hours: 35 hours per week, permanent wholetime
Salary Scale (effective 1 August 2025)
€70,980 – €73,003 – €75,030 – €77,053 – €79,077 – €81,099 – €81,874 (LSI)
Additional benefits include public sector pension arrangements and paid leave entitlements in line with Section 38 employer policies.
