Wexford General Hospital is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (Medical) to provide high-level nursing leadership within its acute medical services. This permanent, whole-time HSE role offers an opportunity to influence clinical standards, mentor nursing teams, and deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a busy regional hospital.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide senior leadership and operational management within the medical division
• Drive best practice, clinical governance, and patient safety initiatives
• Oversee nursing workforce planning, rostering, and supervision
• Support service improvements and change management programmes
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient care
• Lead staff development, performance management, and professional education
• Contribute to strategic planning and service delivery targets
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with NMBI
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience
• Proven leadership experience at CNM2 level (or equivalent) in an acute environment
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance, risk management, and quality systems
• Excellent communication, team-building, and organisational skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical operations and staff performance
• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
HSE Pay Scale (CNM3 – Grade 233X, effective 1 August 2025):
€70,725 – €79,872 per annum
