Key Responsibilities
• Deliver advanced clinical assessments and evidence-based emergency care
• Work autonomously within an agreed scope of practice
• Support patient flow, triage, and rapid decision-making
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team across urgent and acute pathways
• Contribute to service improvement, audit, and quality initiatives
• Engage in ongoing professional development toward full ANP accreditation
• Provide leadership, education, and mentorship within the ED team
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Nurse with NMBI
• Eligibility for Candidate Advanced Nurse Practitioner (General) pathway
• Minimum required postgraduate qualifications for cANP entry
• Proven experience in acute or emergency care settings
• Strong clinical decision-making and advanced assessment skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-focused practice
• Commitment to meeting ANP portfolio and competency requirements
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Grade: Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Candidate (General)
Salary Scale (1 Aug 2025): • €70,725 – €79,872 per annum •
Contract Type: Permanent Wholetime
