St Canice’s Hospital, Kilkenny, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to lead Traveller Health services within the Brighter Beginnings Traveller Healthy Childhood Programme. This permanent whole-time HSE role offers the opportunity to influence child health outcomes across Kilkenny, Carlow, South Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of Traveller Health and Healthy Childhood services across the region
• Coordinate and support universal child health and paediatric community nursing initiatives
• Provide clinical leadership while promoting culturally sensitive and equitable healthcare
• Engage with Traveller communities and local multidisciplinary teams to enhance service access
• Oversee care planning, quality standards, documentation and governance
• Support health promotion, early intervention, and family-focused programmes
• Contribute to service development, reporting, audit, and continuous improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Nurse (General, Children’s, Public Health, Mental Health or Intellectual Disability) with NMBI
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in universal child health or paediatric nursing (community or acute)
• Demonstrated experience delivering health services to marginalised populations
• Strong communication, leadership and advocacy skills
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
• Full compliance with HSE recruitment and professional requirements

€61,463 – €62,481 – €63,342 – €64,747 – €66,300 – €67,826 – €69,351 – €71,068 – €72,662 – €75,405 – €77,666 (LSI)
