Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team 1 North Kerry, based in Listowel with outreach to families in Castleisland. This is a permanent, whole-time role (35 hours/week) supporting children and young people with complex needs across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children with disabilities
• Manage a defined caseload, ensuring evidence-based and family-centred practice
• Work closely with parents, carers and multidisciplinary team members
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement within CDNT1
• Provide supervision, guidance and support to junior staff and students
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in audit and reporting
• Engage in outreach activity with families in Castleisland

Required Skills & Qualifications

• CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Minimum three years’ post-qualification experience, with relevant paediatric or disability experience
• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and intervention skills
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities
• Full driving licence and access to transport for community/outreach work

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Grade: Senior Occupational Therapist (3301)
Salary: In line with the HSE consolidated salary scale, effective 1 August 2025 (Senior OT salaries range approximately from €57k–€67k+ depending on point and LSIs)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, whole-time
• Access to publicly funded employment terms via Section 38 employer
