University Hospital Limerick is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) to join the Acute Virtual Ward team. This is a permanent wholetime position within the Health Service Executive (HSE) Mid West region. Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate day-to-day nursing activities within the Acute Virtual Ward
• Support safe, effective, patient-centred care pathways
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
• Assist in auditing, quality initiatives and service improvement projects
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold HSE policies and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI
• Minimum required post-registration nursing experience for CNM1 appointment
• Proven leadership, communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage clinical priorities
• Strong understanding of acute hospital services and integrated care models
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) – Code 2127
• Salary Scale (from 1 August 2025): €56,642–€66,705 per annum • HSE Consolidated Salary Scales
• Contract: Permanent Wholetime
• Working Hours: 39 hours per week (standard HSE work pattern)
• Pension, leave and other entitlements are provided in line with public sector regulations.
