HSE Mid West Older Persons Services is seeking a Grade VII – Head of Service Office (Ref: HSEMW31625) to provide senior administrative and operational leadership across the region. This permanent wholetime post, based in Limerick, plays a critical role in coordinating service delivery, governance, and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the Service Office for Older Persons Services across the HSE Mid West region
• Oversee governance, reporting, and compliance functions to support regional service delivery
• Develop and implement operational plans, ensuring alignment with national policies and standards
• Support senior management with strategic initiatives, performance monitoring, and resource planning
• Manage staff, workload allocation, and performance development processes
• Coordinate cross-departmental communication and service improvement projects
• Ensure high-quality administrative systems, data accuracy, and timely reporting
• Represent the service at internal meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Must be a current employee of the HSE, TUSLA, a Section 38 agency, or statutory health agency
• Eligibility to hold a Grade VII (0582) post
• Significant management or senior administrative experience in a complex healthcare or public-sector environment
• Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
• Proven experience in staff supervision, service planning, and performance management
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within defined deadlines
• High proficiency in data interpretation, reporting, and IT systems
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Grade VII (0582) Salary Scale — Effective 1 August 2025:
€60,013 – €61,479 – €63,192 – €64,911 – €66,636 – €68,176 – €69,745 – €71,272 – €72,788 – €75,397 – €78,015 (with LSIs)
