Nenagh Hospital is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner Candidate (General) to join its Local Injury Unit as part of the HSE Mid West. This permanent, whole-time role offers a key opportunity to advance your clinical expertise in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. The position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred assessment and care within the Local Injury Unit
• Manage presentations including minor injuries, minor illnesses, and urgent care needs
• Work autonomously within the scope of ANP Candidate practice under clinical supervision
• Participate in clinical decision-making, care planning, and evidence-based interventions
• Support service improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with HSE policies and protocols
• Engage in ongoing professional development towards full ANP registration
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with NMBI
• Eligible for or enrolled in an accredited Advanced Practice programme
• Minimum required post-registration nursing experience per HSE/NMBI standards
• Demonstrated competence in acute/urgent care environments
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: Advanced Nurse Practitioner Candidate (General) – Code 2272
• Salary Scale (effective 1 August 2025): €70,725–€79,872 per annum
• Contract: Permanent, Wholetime
• Working Hours: As per HSE Mid West rostering arrangements
