University Hospital Waterford is recruiting a Grade V Data Analyst to join its Data & Analytics team. This permanent wholetime role supports data-driven decision-making across clinical and operational services. This campaign is internal and open only to eligible HSE, TUSLA, Section 38, or statutory health agency employees.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse, interpret and present complex datasets to support hospital planning and service improvement
• Produce regular performance, activity and compliance reports
• Maintain and update information systems and dashboards
• Support data quality audits and validation processes
• Liaise with clinical, administrative and management teams to meet reporting requirements
• Assist with system upgrades, digital transformation initiatives and business intelligence projects
• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures for data governance and reporting
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligibility to apply as per WRC Agreement 161867 (internal campaign)
• Experience working in an administrative, ICT or analytical role within the health sector
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills
• Proficiency in Excel, databases and BI/reporting tools
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Understanding of data protection, confidentiality and information governance
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary: HSE Grade V (Clerical) Scale — €51,718 to €61,866 (effective 1 August 2025)
• Grade V point progression as per national consolidated salary scales
• Permanent wholetime contract
