Our Lady’s Hospital Navan is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join its fast-paced Emergency Department. This HSE role offers excellent clinical exposure, opportunities for development, and the chance to work within a committed multidisciplinary team in County Meath. Both whole-time and part-time permanent contracts are available.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
• Triage, assess, plan and evaluate patient care in line with national standards
• Respond effectively to emergency presentations and rapid-change clinical situations
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support safe patient flow
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold HSE policies and governance
• Participate in ongoing professional development, audits and quality initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI registration (active and in good standing)
• Experience in an emergency or acute hospital setting desirable
• Strong clinical decision-making and patient assessment skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational abilities
• Commitment to continuous learning and best-practice care standards
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary (Staff Nurse – Grade 2135, effective 1 August 2025):
€37,288 – €55,477 (13-point scale, LSI included)
• HSE pension scheme and comprehensive leave provisions
• Location and specialist allowances may apply subject to HSE circulars
• Permanent whole-time and permanent part-time options available
• Rostered shift work including nights, weekends and public holidays
