Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological consultant services, including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal and general gynaecology care.
• Deliver high-quality clinical leadership to multidisciplinary maternity and gynaecology teams.
• Participate in the consultant on-call rota as required.
• Support patient safety, risk management and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to training and education.
• Collaborate with clinical directorates and hospital management to enhance service delivery.
• Maintain compliance with HSE governance, policies and clinical standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (mandatory).
• Proven experience in managing complex obstetric and gynaecological cases.
• Strong leadership, communication and team-working abilities.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
• Eligibility to work in the HSE and fulfil rota requirements.
