This Programme Coordinator Children’s Nursing CNM2 role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate the Higher Diploma in Children’s Nursing across the HSE West and North West region. Reporting at a senior nursing level, the position supports education, quality improvement, and programme governance for children’s nursing services. This Programme Coordinator Children’s Nursing CNM2 job is a specified purpose, wholetime contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and coordinate the Higher Diploma in Children’s Nursing programme
• Collaborate with academic partners and HSE service leaders to ensure programme delivery
• Support clinical placement coordination and quality assurance processes
• Develop, implement and monitor education policies and standards
• Provide leadership to ensure safe, effective paediatric nursing services
• Support students, preceptors and clinical facilitators across the region
• Engage in service improvement, audit and reporting requirements
• Represent the paediatric nursing education function at regional and national meetings

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registered Children’s Nurse (RCN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with significant paediatric experience
• Eligible applicants must meet the full criteria outlined in the job specification
• Demonstrable leadership experience at CNM2 level or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of paediatric nursing practice, education and governance
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to support large-scale education programmes across multiple sites

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Grade: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2 2119)
Contract Type: Specified Purpose, Wholetime
• Salary scale as per the Department of Health Consolidated Pay Scales

This role spans the HSE West and North West Region, including Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Mayo and Galway.
