The Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Emergency Department role is a permanent, whole-time nursing leadership opportunity within the Health Service Executive (HSE) in Limerick. This position plays a key role in coordinating high-quality, patient-centred emergency care while supporting staff development and operational excellence in a busy Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical and professional leadership within the Emergency Department
• Coordinate day-to-day nursing activity to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Support, supervise, and mentor nursing staff and students
• Promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and clinical governance standards
• Contribute to service planning, audit, and risk management initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the live Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by NMBI
• Minimum post-registration experience relevant to emergency or acute care
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Strong clinical decision-making and organisational abilities
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

• Salary scale: €56,642 – €66,705 per annum (Clinical Nurse Manager 1 scale, effective 1 August 2025)
