University Hospital Waterford is inviting applications for a Consultant Radiologist Waterford position with a special interest in Interventional Radiology. This is a permanent, whole-time consultant post within the HSE Dublin and South East region, offering 37 hours per week in a modern acute hospital setting.

This Consultant Radiologist Waterford role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and provides the opportunity to deliver advanced interventional radiology services as part of a multidisciplinary consultant team.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver consultant-level diagnostic and interventional radiology services
• Lead and develop interventional radiology procedures and pathways
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical decision-making
• Supervise and support NCHDs, radiographers, and trainees
• Contribute to service development, audit, research, and quality improvement
• Participate in on-call and rota commitments in line with hospital requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration on the Specialist Division of the Medical Council of Ireland (Radiology)
• Recognised postgraduate qualification in Radiology
• Demonstrated experience in Interventional Radiology
• Eligibility for appointment as a Consultant Radiologist under HSE criteria
• Strong leadership, clinical governance, and communication skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development and teaching

• Salary: As per HSE Consultant Radiologist salary scale (Department of Health approved rates)
