Mallow General Hospital is inviting applications for a Senior Physiotherapist Mallow role within the Inpatient Care of the Elderly Rehabilitation service. This is a permanent whole-time position offering the opportunity to play a key clinical role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to older adults within an acute hospital setting.

The post is based at Mallow General Hospital, part of HSE South West, and is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment for older persons in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support safe discharge planning and functional independence
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior physiotherapy staff and students
• Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• CORU registration as a Physiotherapist (or eligibility to register)
• Relevant postgraduate clinical experience, including care of the elderly or rehabilitation
• Demonstrated competence in evidence-based physiotherapy practice
• Strong communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary environment
• Experience in supervising staff or students is desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in line with HSE Senior Physiotherapist (Grade 3158) pay scales, depending on experience
