An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist at Regional Hospital Mullingar, part of the HSE Dublin and Midlands health region. This senior-level post plays a key role in delivering a comprehensive cardiac diagnostic service, supporting high-quality patient care within a busy acute hospital environment.
This is a permanent, whole-time position open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide senior clinical expertise in cardiac diagnostic procedures
• Support and enhance the delivery of a comprehensive Cardiac Diagnostic Service
• Perform and interpret advanced cardiac investigations
• Supervise, support, and mentor junior cardiac physiology staff
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, protocols, and best practice guidelines
• Participate in audit, education, and ongoing professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant qualification in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent
• Eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body
• Significant post-qualification experience in cardiac diagnostics
• Demonstrated competence in advanced cardiac investigations
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
