Connolly Hospital is currently recruiting Staff Nurses (General) to join its acute hospital services within the HSE Dublin and North East Region. This Staff Nurse role at Connolly Hospital offers exposure to high-quality patient care across multiple specialist departments in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in line with professional standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical audits
• Supervise and support student nurses and junior staff where appropriate
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a General Nurse with NMBI (or eligibility to register)
• Acute hospital nursing experience in an Irish healthcare setting
• Experience in one chosen specialist area only:
- Emergency Department
- Endoscopy
- Medical
- Stroke
- Surgical
- Theatre – Anaesthetics & Recovery
- Theatre – Scrub
• Strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in line with HSE Staff Nurse (General) Grade 2135 pay scales
• Incremental salary progression based on service
