Job Overview
Bantry General Hospital is currently recruiting a Health Care Assistant to join its patient and client care teams on a permanent wholetime basis. Key Responsibilities
• Assist nursing staff in delivering person-centred patient care
• Support patients with activities of daily living including mobility, hygiene, and nutrition
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic clinical environment
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Assist with patient transfers and movement as required
• Ensure dignity, privacy, and respect for all patients at all times
• Comply with HSE infection prevention and control policies
Required Skills & Qualifications
• QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare Support (or equivalent)
• Experience working in a healthcare or hospital setting (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and safeguarding
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts as required
