Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Grade Physicist (Radiotherapy) to join St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network, a leading specialist cancer treatment service within the HSE Dublin and Midlands region. This role offers the chance to work at the forefront of radiotherapy physics, supporting high-quality, patient-centred cancer care in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

This Physicist Radiotherapy Dublin role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is ideal for candidates seeking to develop their career within a nationally recognised oncology network.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical physics support to radiotherapy services
• Participate in treatment planning system commissioning and QA
• Support radiation safety and quality assurance programmes
• Assist in the implementation of new radiotherapy techniques and technologies
• Contribute to clinical audits, research, and service development
• Work collaboratively with radiation oncologists, therapists, and technical staff
• Maintain compliance with statutory and professional standards


Required Skills & Qualifications

• Honours degree in Physics or equivalent (essential)
• Postgraduate qualification in Medical Physics or Radiotherapy Physics (desirable)
• Eligibility for or membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. IPEM / equivalent)
• Experience or training in radiotherapy physics environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development

Salary: In line with HSE Physicist Grade 3794 consolidated salary scale (August 2025 rates)
