Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialist oncology nursing care across the patient pathway
• Demonstrate expert practice in the safe administration of chemotherapy, including intravenous therapies
• Act as a clinical resource and advocate for patients and families
• Support evidence-based practice, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Contribute to education and training of nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues
• Participate in service planning and development within oncology services
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with HSE policies
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Nurse with NMBI registration
• Significant post-registration nursing experience in Oncology
• Demonstrated competence in the safe administration of chemotherapy medications, including IV
• Proven depth and breadth of specialist oncology nursing knowledge
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
• Commitment to continuing professional development and clinical governance
