The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) within HSE West and North West. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary mental health team supporting children and adolescents with complex communication and mental health needs.

This Senior Speech and Language Therapist CAMHS Galway post is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and offers long-term career stability within Ireland’s public health service.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention within CAMHS
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team
• Manage and prioritise a complex clinical caseload
• Contribute to care planning, reviews, and clinical decision-making
• Support and guide junior Speech and Language Therapy staff
• Engage in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HSE policies
• Demonstrate leadership and advanced clinical expertise relevant to CAMHS
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist recognised by CORU
• Registration with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Significant post-qualification experience, including experience relevant to CAMHS
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of practice at Senior level
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical reasoning skills
• Experience working within multidisciplinary mental health teams (desirable)
