The Contracts and Claims Manager – National Maternity Hospital Programme plays a pivotal leadership role in one of Ireland’s most significant healthcare capital projects. This senior post will oversee contracts administration, claims management, and commercial governance throughout the delivery of the new National Maternity Hospital at St. Vincent’s University Hospital.

This is a specified-purpose whole-time role for the duration of the programme (seven years), with opportunities for future permanent or specified-purpose appointments arising from the resulting panel.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead contracts and claims management across all stages of the NMH capital programme
• Manage contractual risk, dispute resolution, and claims strategy
• Provide expert advice on public works contracts and procurement frameworks
• Support governance, reporting, and assurance requirements
• Liaise with senior stakeholders, consultants, and contractors
• Ensure compliance with HSE, Department of Health, and public sector procurement rules
• Contribute to programme controls, cost certainty, and value for money
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Significant senior-level experience in contracts and claims management
• Strong knowledge of Irish public works contracts and capital delivery frameworks
• Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure or healthcare capital projects
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical, reporting, and governance capability
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
