Cumas New Ross is seeking dedicated Social Care Workers (Residential Disability Sector) to join its permanent team in the New Ross area. Reporting to the Person in Charge (PIC), you will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support, enabling residents to live meaningful, inclusive lives in line with their individual needs, choices, and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day personal care and social support to residents
• Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion in all aspects of daily life
• Support residents to achieve personal goals and participate in community activities
• Implement individual care and support plans in line with HIQA standards
• Work collaboratively with the PIC and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care reviews
• Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe, supportive environment


Required Skills & Qualifications

• QQI Level 7/8 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline
• Experience working in a residential disability or social care setting (desirable)
• Strong understanding of person-centred and rights-based care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work rostered hours as required


Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary: In line with approved Section 39 / health sector pay scales (Grade 3029)
Contract: Permanent, full-time
